Welcome to the Haus Jack! August 27, 2008

We went out to Phoenix a couple weekends ago to pick up Cheyenne from her grandmother’s house, and I was able to pay a visit to my friend Amy and her new son Jack!  He was so much fun to watch and observe as he made his way around his new life and new toys.  When you hear about how a new mother glows, you haven’t seen Amy yet.  The happiness just absolutely poured off of her in waves.  It was great getting to watch Amy and her husband Todd as they interacted with their new son by playing with him on the floor, making animal noises, and just being FABULOUS parents.  So to Todd and Amy, congratulations!  Jack could not have asked for better parents.  You both are amazing.

Friday was an absolutely beautiful day for the beach! Tennille, Pat, Cheyenne, Krissi and Ikey all went down to Laguna Beach to meet my friend Lesley and hang out for the day. It was overcast and cool, a perfect 72 degrees with a nice breeze coming in off the ocean. Perfect for lots of pictures!

Family Birthday Party July 6, 2008

There’s nothing like a family birthday party on a very beautiful day in Encinitas. Tennille and I, along with our families, caravaned down to Encinitas for a birthday party for the June and July birthdays in my Dad’s family. My Aunt Anita hosted in her gorgeous house, the food was great, the company was great, and it was nice to see family that we don’t get to see very often. :)

So there’s this guy Dave (Dave’s not here!) who has been like my brother for the past 10 years.  I just love him to pieces.  He is a bass player and I FINALLY got to see him play yesterday!  His band played at the Coors Rock On concert at the Del Mar Fair.  I was sooooo proud of him!  It was great to see him doing his passion, and Cheyenne got to see Uncle Dave rock the house as well.  I love you Dave, and am SO proud of you!  :)

What else is better on the last day of work before summer vacation than spending the day playing video games? All of my office except for me and the boss are off for the summer and Friday was their last day so we brought in the Wii and played Guitar Hero! Made for a very fun last day! :)

My friend Kami let me tag along on a family photo shoot she did at Corona Del Mar a couple of weekends ago. The family had a boy who was 9 and 3 year old twin girls. They were SO cute! Total hams and I LOVED shooting candids of them. Here’s some of my pics that I took that day.

I just want to say thank you to all of those soldiers that defend our country, and also to their spouses, children and families that are left behind for all of their sacrifices for our great nation.

We had a small family bbq today at my mom’s and I took some pictures of mine and my sister’s kids together. Here’s just a few:

I hope you dance May 11, 2008

Yesterday was my neighbor’s dance recital. The city of Glendora has a dance program that offers very reasonable lessons to the city’s kids and adults. Here are a few pics of Isabelle at her recital.
